Our client is seeking a Document Control Engineer for their Cambridge site.
Due to the successful growth of our client and its customer base, the amount and importance of document control activity has significantly increased. Hence, there is now a clear requirement for a Document Control Engineer to work with their Quality System Engineers in ensuring tight and effective control of all relevant documents, with the aim of supporting ISO9001-based Quality Management System and satisfying customer requirements.
You would be responsible for the following:
Evaluate document-control and document-management requirements
Benchmark document control methodologies and tools of fabless companies
Propose the way forward and documentation policy for future growth
Support implementation of new tools and systems
Provide training for all users
Specify document naming, numbering and storage conventions, incl. enforcement
Manage the document control system (entry; approval; activation; access; etc.)
Support, co-ordinate and audit associated `distributed` document management systems
Control the review and storage of documents from customers and suppliers
Manage change control including obtaining key customer approvals
Control concessions
Help complete customer questionnaires and collate data for customer audits.
You would be computer literate, have experience of working with documents in an ISO9001 environment and have knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing would be beneficial.
Degree preferred.
Salary £Depending on experience.
